Ingredients

  • 1 cup ube halaya
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 egg


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, sugar, ube halaya, butter, salt, and egg to the mixture; knead until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. Once risen, divide the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  5. Fill each ball with shredded cheese.
  6. Let the balls rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Cool before serving.
