Description

Mango Sago is a delightful dessert that combines the sweetness of mangoes with the chewy texture of sago pearls.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mangoes
  • 1 cup sago pearls
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Optional mint leaves for garnish


Instructions

  1. Rinse the sago pearls under cold water.
  2. Boil 4 cups of water in a pot, then add the sago pearls and cook until transparent.
  3. Drain the pearls and rinse with cold water.
  4. In a separate pot, combine the coconut milk, water, sugar, and salt, then bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the cooked sago pearls to the coconut mixture and stir well.
  6. Cool the mixture slightly, then fold in diced mangoes.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  8. Serve in bowls and garnish with mint leaves if desired.
