- 4 large russet potatoes
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash the potatoes and poke holes in them with a fork.
- Bake the potatoes for about 45-60 minutes, until tender.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.
- Cut a slit in each potato and fluff the insides with a fork.
- Add butter, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Top with cheese and green onions.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add cooked bacon bits as a topping.
- These potatoes can be prepared ahead of time and reheated.
