Description
This Crab Meat Dip is a warm, creamy, cheesy appetizer loaded with lump crab, melted cheddar and Parmesan, garlic and Old Bay seasoning. Perfect for parties or cozy snack time, and ready in about 35 minutes.

- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 cup lump crab meat (fresh, canned, or imitation)
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- ½ tsp lemon juice
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (plus more for garnish)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Crackers, bread, or vegetable sticks for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 °F (190 °C) and grease a small baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise and sour cream until smooth.
- Fold in crab meat, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix until well combined.
- Add salt and black pepper to taste, then stir in chopped parsley.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes (or until bubbly and golden on top).
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with extra parsley.
- Serve warm with crackers, toasted bread or vegetable sticks.
Notes
- Use fresh lump crab for best texture, but canned or imitation crab work as budget-friendly options.
- If you like spice, increase the cayenne or add diced jalapeños.
- For a lighter version, swap sour cream with Greek yogurt or use light cream cheese.
- For gluten-free serving, use veggie sticks or gluten-free crackers.
- If making ahead: mix all ingredients, refrigerate covered, then bake just before serving.
