- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Add the browned beef mixture over the potatoes.
- Spread the cream of mushroom soup over the beef mixture.
- Add the remaining sliced potatoes on top.
- In a bowl, mix the milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then pour over the layers.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes to brown the cheese.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
