- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 large potatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic until fully cooked.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased casserole dish.
- Add the cooked ground beef mixture over the potatoes.
- Spread the cream of mushroom soup over the beef layer.
- Pour the milk over the casserole.
- Layer the remaining potatoes on top and sprinkle cheese over it.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding herbs such as thyme or rosemary.
- You can substitute the cream of mushroom soup with other cream soups based on preference.
