Description
Fried Cheese-Stuffed Doritos are an indulgent snack, combining crunchy Doritos with gooey melted cheese inside. Perfect for parties or when you’re craving a crispy, cheesy treat!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos (crushed)
- 8 oz block of cheddar cheese (cubed)
- 1 cup flour
- 2 large eggs (beaten)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a food processor, pulse the Doritos until finely crushed. Pour the crumbs into a shallow dish.
- Cut the cheddar cheese block into small, bite-sized cubes.
- Prepare a dredging station with three bowls: one with flour, one with the beaten eggs mixed with milk, and one with the crushed Doritos combined with panko breadcrumbs.
- Coat each cheese cube in the flour, dip it into the egg mixture, and then press it into the Doritos-panko mixture until fully coated.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the cheese cubes in batches until golden and crispy, about 1-2 minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on a paper towel before serving hot.
Notes
- You can experiment with different types of cheese for various flavor profiles.
- Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to avoid sogginess.
