Description

A rich and satisfying lasagna made with layers of pasta, turkey bacon, and chicken ham for a twist on a classic dish.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 8 ounces turkey bacon
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble when cool.
  4. In the same skillet, add ground turkey and cook until browned, seasoning with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  5. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix well.
  6. In a large baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Layer with noodles, ricotta mixture, turkey mixture, bacon, and mozzarella. Repeat layers, ending with noodles and sauce on top.
  7. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.

  • Use fresh herbs for added flavor.
  • Let the lasagna sit for an hour to enhance the flavors.
  • This dish can be frozen before baking.
