  • 1 package lasagna noodles
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (16 oz) salsa
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
  • Cooking spray for the baking dish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain.
  2. In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Add garlic, taco seasoning, and cayenne pepper. Stir in half of the salsa; simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer noodles, beef mixture, dollops of sour cream, and both cheeses. Repeat the layers, ending with a cheese layer on top.
  4. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is golden. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with green onions.
