- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1½ cups Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (optional)
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- ½ cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Lightly spray the Crockpot insert with non-stick spray or use a liner.
- Place chicken breasts in the Crockpot in a single layer.
- In a bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, paprika, vinegar, and broth.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken, making sure it is fully coated.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until chicken is tender and easily shredded.
- Shred with two forks and stir back into the sauce, or serve whole with sauce spooned over.
- Optional: Broil shredded chicken for a few minutes for crispy edges.
Notes
- Use frozen chicken if needed; just increase cook time by 1 hour on LOW.
- For a spicy version, add red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.
- This chicken is perfect for sliders, rice bowls, and baked potatoes.
