These adorable Strawberry Heart Hand Pies are filled with sweet strawberry jam and baked in a buttery, flaky crust—perfect for Valentine's Day or any special moment.

- All-purpose flour (for dusting)
- 2 premade 9-inch pie crusts (or homemade dough)
- ¾ cup strawberry jam
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together egg and water to make the egg wash.
- Flour your work surface lightly. Roll out the pie crusts to about 13 inches in diameter.
- Use a 3.5-inch heart-shaped cutter to cut out 24 shapes.
- Prick 12 hearts with a fork for steam vents (these will be the tops).
- Place 1 tablespoon of jam in the center of the remaining 12 (bottoms).
- Top each with a vented heart. Seal edges by pressing with a fork.
- Brush tops with egg wash.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool completely on a wire rack.
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to create glaze.
- Drizzle glaze over cooled pies and allow to set for 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use cold dough for better flakiness.
- Don’t overfill the pies or they may burst during baking.
- Make ahead: Assemble and refrigerate before baking.
