Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strawberry pie filling
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Unfold puff pastry sheets and cut each into 4 equal squares.
  4. Spoon a small amount of cream cheese mixture into the center of each square.
  5. Add a spoonful of strawberry pie filling on top.
  6. Fold pastry diagonally to form a triangle and press edges to seal.
  7. Crimp edges with a fork for a secure seal.
  8. Whisk egg with milk and brush over turnovers.
  9. Bake for 18–22 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  10. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
