Description

This decadent seafood lasagna features tender shrimp and sweet crab meat layered with creamy béchamel and gooey cheeses. A showstopping dish perfect for holidays or weeknight indulgence.


Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled & deveined)

  • 8 oz lump crab meat

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour

  • 4 cups whole milk

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese

  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

  • Lemon zest for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook lasagna noodles and set aside.

  • Sauté shrimp in olive oil until pink, then combine with crab meat.

  • Make white sauce: melt butter, whisk in flour, add milk/cream until thickened. Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg.

  • Layer noodles, ricotta, seafood, sauce, and cheeses in a baking dish.

  • Repeat layers. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan.

  • Bake covered for 25 minutes, uncover and bake 15 more until golden.

  • Rest 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley and lemon zest.

Notes

  • You can substitute scallops or lobster for shrimp.

  • Gluten-free noodles and dairy-free cheese can be used for dietary needs.
