- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water (slurry)
- Sesame seeds and sliced green onions (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil, then broccoli, and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Add garlic and ginger; sauté for 30 seconds.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and pepper.
- Pour sauce into skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened.
- Return shrimp to pan and toss to coat.
- Garnish and serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
- Thaw frozen shrimp and pat dry before cooking.
- Adjust sauce seasoning to taste (more honey for sweetness, more soy for saltiness).
