Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 medium yellow onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt & pepper to taste

8 oz wide egg noodles

1 cup cottage cheese
-
1 cup sour cream
-
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook ground beef with diced onion until browned; drain fat.

Add garlic, tomato sauce, seasoning, salt & pepper. Simmer 5–7 mins.

Cook and drain egg noodles.

Mix noodles with cottage cheese and sour cream.

In greased 9×13″ dish, layer: half noodles → half beef → 1 cup cheddar.

Repeat layers.

Bake uncovered 25–30 mins until bubbly.

Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Freshly shredded cheese melts best.
