Description

This recipe brings the classic flavors of a Philly cheesesteak – tender steak, caramelized veggies, and gooey mozzarella – into crispy, golden breadsticks. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or family-friendly meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet; cook flank steak for 2–3 minutes until browned.
  • Add onions, bell pepper, and mushrooms; sauté for 5–7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Roll out pizza dough and cut into 2-inch strips.
  • Spoon the steak mixture and mozzarella onto each strip. Roll tightly and place on a greased baking sheet.
  • Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with Parmesan and garlic powder.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Serve warm with marinara sauce or your favorite dip.

Notes

  • Cool the filling slightly before rolling to prevent sogginess.
  • For extra flavor, use provolone cheese or add caramelized onions.
