Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
- Add the diced potatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and paprika to the pot. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and milk. Continue to cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the cheese is melted and the soup becomes creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the soup hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use sharp cheddar cheese.
- You can substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
- Adjust thickness by adding more broth or milk, depending on preference.
