Description

This Midnight Frost Christmas Punch is a festive, crowd-pleasing holiday drink bursting with bright cranberry and pomegranate juices, sweet pineapple and citrus notes, and sparkling ginger ale or sparkling water (or wine for an adult version). Perfect for gatherings, it’s easy to prepare ahead and brings joyful color and flavor to your table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups cranberry juice
  • 2 cups pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 cups ginger ale
  • 1 cup sparkling water or sparkling wine
  • ½ cup simple syrup (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup pomegranate arils
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a large punch bowl, combine cranberry juice, pomegranate juice, orange juice, and pineapple juice.
  2. Stir in the vanilla extract and fresh grated ginger.
  3. Taste and add simple syrup if desired for extra sweetness.
  4. Add sliced oranges, lemon slices, fresh cranberries, and pomegranate arils.
  5. Chill the mixture for at least 1 hour.
  6. Before serving, pour in the ginger ale and the sparkling water (or sparkling wine).
  7. Add ice cubes and gently stir to combine all elements without flattening the fizz.
  8. Ladle into glasses, ensuring each serving gets some fruit, and garnish with extra berries or a slice of citrus.

Notes

  • Use sparkling water instead of wine for a non-alcoholic version.
  • Freeze some cranberries or citrus slices ahead of time to use as decorative ice cubes.
  • Adjust sweetness to your taste by varying the simple syrup or juice types.
  • Add the fizz only at the very last minute to preserve sparkle.
