Ingredients
-
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
-
1/2 lb bacon, chopped
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
1/2 cup bread crumbs
-
1/4 cup milk
-
1 small onion, finely chopped
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
2 large eggs
-
2 tbsp ketchup
-
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
-
Salt & black pepper, to taste
-
Optional: extra ketchup or cheese for topping
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
-
In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until slightly crisp. Drain excess fat.
-
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bacon, cheddar cheese, bread crumbs, milk, onion, garlic, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix evenly.
-
Transfer to the loaf pan and shape into a loaf. Spread extra ketchup or cheese on top if desired.
-
Bake 55–60 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
-
Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
Notes
-
For extra moisture, don’t overmix the meat before baking.
-
Feel free to add diced pickles or mustard into the mix for a “burger sauce” twist.
-
Leftovers reheat great in the oven or air fryer for a crisp edge.
