Description

This Gooey Brownie Pie is the perfect blend of rich, fudgy chocolate brownie filling and a buttery pie crust. The edges are set while the center stays wonderfully molten — a cozy, crowd-pleasing dessert that’s easy enough for beginners yet special enough for celebrations. Serve it warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1 prepared 9-inch pie crust (homemade or store-bought)

  • Optional: powdered sugar or vanilla ice cream (for serving)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.

  • In a large bowl, whisk melted butter with granulated and brown sugar until smooth.

  • Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until fully combined.

  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

  • Stir in chocolate chips.

  • Pour batter into prepared pie crust and smooth the top.

  • Bake 35–40 minutes, until edges are set and center is slightly soft.

  • Cool at least 20 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra gooey centers, bake toward the lower end of the bake time.

  • Letting the pie cool improves texture and slicing.

  • Top with vanilla ice cream or a sprinkle of powdered sugar for best results.
