Description
Soft, golden flatbread brushed with garlic-parsley butter—perfect as a side, snack, or served with soups and dips. No yeast required.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rest for 20 minutes.
- Divide dough into 4-6 equal portions and roll each into a thin circle.
- Heat a dry skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and slightly puffed.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter with minced garlic and parsley.
- Brush hot flatbreads with the garlic butter mixture and serve warm.
Notes
- Use warm (not hot) water to keep the dough tender.
- Letting the dough rest improves texture and elasticity.
- Brush butter while the flatbread is hot for maximum flavor absorption.
- Add a pinch of sugar to mellow garlic intensity if desired.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in a skillet.
