Garbage Bread is a delicious and easy-to-make stuffed bread loaded with ground beef, pepperoni, mozzarella, cheddar, and Italian seasonings. Perfect for a quick dinner, party snack, or game-day treat, it’s an irresistible option everyone will enjoy!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tube (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1/2 pound ground beef or sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce (optional, for dipping)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Dough: Roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Mix Filling: In a bowl, combine cooked ground beef, chopped pepperoni, mozzarella, cheddar, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Add Filling to Dough: Spread the filling mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  5. Roll and Seal: Roll the dough into a tight log, starting from one long side. Pinch the edges to seal the seam and ends.
  6. Egg Wash: Place the roll seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg.
  7. Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool and Slice: Let the bread cool for 5 minutes. Slice into thick pieces and serve with marinara sauce, if desired.

Notes

  • Feel free to swap ground beef with sausage or use a mix of meats.
  • Add veggies like bell peppers or onions for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in an oven for crispiness.
