Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cheddar cheese soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/4 cup diced pickles
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion until beef is no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
  3. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in cheddar cheese soup, sour cream, ketchup, and mustard until well combined.
  5. Spread beef mixture evenly into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  6. Top with frozen French fries, straight from the bag.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven, sprinkle cheddar cheese over fries.
  9. Return to oven and bake 10–15 more minutes until bubbly and golden.
  10. Top with pickles and parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use sharp cheddar for stronger flavor.
  • Great for meal prep—store leftovers for up to 4 days.
