Instructions
- Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a well in the center, mix in milk, eggs, and applesauce.
- Combine gently without overmixing.
- Fold in diced apples evenly.
- Heat oil to 375°F in a heavy pan or deep fryer.
- Drop ¼ cup of batter into hot oil and flatten slightly.
- Fry 2 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Whisk together glaze ingredients until smooth.
- Dip warm fritters into the glaze and let drip on a wire rack.
