- 1/3 cup ranch dressing
- 8 wooden skewers
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup milk
- Vegetable oil for deep frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Shape the beef mixture into hot-dog-sized logs and insert wooden skewers into the center.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the beef logs until fully cooked. Let cool slightly.
- Spread ranch dressing over the cooked beef, then press on cheddar cheese and bacon crumbles.
- Freeze for 20 minutes to help the coating stick.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix egg and milk, then combine with dry ingredients to form a thick batter.
- Heat oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Dip each cheeseburger stick into the batter, coating evenly.
- Fry 2–3 at a time for 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
