Ingredients

- 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 loaf brioche or challah bread, sliced thick
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- For the Crème Brûlée Topping:
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Whisk eggs, cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl until smooth.
- Dip each slice of brioche and let soak for 1–2 minutes per side.
- Heat skillet or griddle over medium, grease lightly with butter.
- Cook soaked bread 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Preheat broiler to high.
- Brush toast with melted butter and sprinkle sugar evenly on top.
- Broil for 1–2 minutes until sugar caramelizes. Watch closely!
- Cool slightly before serving to let the sugar harden.
- Serve with fresh berries, whipped cream, or maple syrup.
