  • 3 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  • Place potato chunks into a large pot; cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt.
  • Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium heat. Simmer for 15–20 minutes or until fork-tender.
  • Heat heavy cream and butter in a saucepan over low heat until warm (do not boil).
  • Drain potatoes and mash until smooth.
  • Mix in cream cheese, garlic, salt, and pepper. Gradually add the warm cream-butter mixture.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste. Serve garnished with parsley if desired.
