- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream butter, cream cheese, and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract and mix well.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt separately.
- Add dry ingredients to wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheet, spacing evenly.
- Bake 12–14 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool briefly before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Do not overbake for soft centers
- Chill dough for thicker cookies if desired
