- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup mozzarella or cheddar cheese cubes
- 1/4 cup ketchup or BBQ sauce (for topping)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix gently until just combined.
- Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture and flatten slightly.
- Place a cheese cube in the center and wrap the meat around it, sealing completely to form a ball.
- Arrange meatloaf bites on the prepared baking sheet.
- Spoon ketchup or BBQ sauce on top of each bite.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes or until fully cooked and lightly browned.
- Optional: Broil for 2 minutes for a caramelized top.
- Let rest 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley.
