- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar (cheesecake layer)
- 1 large egg (cheesecake layer)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (cheesecake layer)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla.
- Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread brownie batter evenly in the pan.
- Drop spoonfuls of cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer.
- Gently swirl with a knife or skewer.
- Bake 30–35 minutes until edges are set and the center slightly jiggles.
- Cool completely before slicing.

- Use room-temperature cream cheese for a smooth swirl.
- Do not over-swirl to keep distinct layers.
