Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar (cheesecake layer)
  • 1 large egg (cheesecake layer)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (cheesecake layer)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Spread brownie batter evenly in the pan.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer.
  7. Gently swirl with a knife or skewer.
  8. Bake 30–35 minutes until edges are set and the center slightly jiggles.
  9. Cool completely before slicing.
