- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
- 1 cup apple pie filling, finely chopped
- 8 soft caramel candies, unwrapped
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Powdered sugar or caramel sauce for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Separate biscuit dough and flatten each biscuit into a 4-inch circle.
- In a small bowl, mix chopped apple pie filling with cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Place 1 tablespoon of apple mixture in the center of each dough round.
- Top with one caramel candy.
- Wrap the dough around the filling, pinching edges tightly to seal.
- Dip each ball into melted butter, then roll in granulated sugar.
- Place seam-side down on baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden.
- Cool slightly, then drizzle with caramel or dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
- Chop apples finely to prevent filling leaks.
- Seal seams well to keep caramel from oozing out.
- Let them cool for a few minutes before eating — the caramel is hot.
- Serve warm for best gooey texture.
