Description

Soft, buttery crescent rolls filled with creamy cheesecake and sweet blueberries, baked until golden and topped with a simple vanilla glaze — a quick, cozy treat ideal for breakfast, brunch or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough (or puff pastry, thawed)
  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp sugar (for the filling)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for filling)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries (if frozen, thawed & dried)
  • (Optional) 1 tsp lemon zest
  • For the glaze: ½ cup powdered sugar, 1–2 tbsp milk, ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Roll out dough and separate into rectangles (or triangles); press seams together if needed.
  4. Spread a thin layer of the cream-cheese mixture over each dough piece.
  5. Scatter blueberries (and lemon zest, if using) evenly over the filling.
  6. Roll each piece like a cinnamon-roll log, then slice into spirals.
  7. Place rolls cut-side up on the prepared sheet, leaving space between them for expansion.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until golden brown and pastry is cooked through.
  9. While baking (or just after), whisk glaze ingredients until smooth; adjust thickness if needed.
  10. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls and serve immediately, or at room temperature.

Notes

  • If using frozen blueberries, thaw and pat them dry to avoid soggy pastry.
  • For a flakier texture, you may substitute puff pastry for crescent dough.
  • Glaze is optional — the rolls taste delicious without it, but glaze adds a sweet bakery-style finish.
  • For a flavor twist: add a pinch of cinnamon, or substitute other berries (raspberries, strawberries) or fruit.
