Description

This Baked Stuffed Shrimp Casserole is a one-dish, family-friendly seafood bake featuring large shrimp topped with a buttery breadcrumb-Parmesan-cream cheese mixture, baked until golden and served with a fresh lemon drizzle.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs – provide crunchy topping and texture
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese – adds savory depth and helps binding
  • ¼ cup cream cheese, softened – gives creamy richness
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined – the star of the dish
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted – helps crisp topping and adds flavor
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced – aromatic base
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest – bright citrus note
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped – freshness and colour
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika – subtle warm spice and colour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt – balances flavour
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper – gentle heat
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil – drizzle for finishing
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (for serving) – final burst of freshness

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, softened cream cheese, melted butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, chopped parsley, paprika, salt and pepper. Mix well until the mixture is cohesive and slightly sticky.
  3. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Arrange the peeled and deveined large shrimp in a single layer.
  4. Spoon the breadcrumb mixture generously over each shrimp (or evenly across the top so each shrimp is coated).
  5. Drizzle the olive oil over the shrimp and breadcrumb topping.
  6. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through and the topping is golden and crispy.
  7. Remove from oven and immediately drizzle the fresh lemon juice before serving.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Pat the shrimp dry before arranging — excess moisture can make topping soggy.
  • Use large or jumbo shrimp for best texture and presentation.
  • If the topping browns too quickly, cover loosely with foil for the remaining bake time.
  • Serve immediately for best crispness; leftovers are best reheated in oven.
