Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients listed on box)
- 1 cup Baileys Irish Cream
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whipped topping or whipped cream
- Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven according to the cake mix instructions.
- Prepare and bake the chocolate cake in a 9x13-inch pan as directed on the box.
- While the cake is still warm, poke holes evenly across the surface using the handle of a wooden spoon.
- In a bowl, whisk together Baileys Irish Cream and sweetened condensed milk.
- Slowly pour the mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak into the holes.
- Heat heavy cream until just simmering, then pour over chocolate chips. Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
- Spread the chocolate ganache evenly over the cake.
- Chill for at least 1 hour, then top with whipped cream and garnish before serving.
